New TU Question Model for 4-Year BBS First Year
Tribhuvan
University has designed the New Question Pattern of 4 years BBS First Year Programme as per the
new syllabus applied since this academic year. This is the second revision in the
syllabus of the BBS Programme after making it a 4-year program by the Tribhuvan
University and accordingly in the question pattern also.
The
newly designed question pattern seems a little different than previous question
pattern. The questions of the entire subject include three different groups of
questions with different weighs or marks. Namely three groups are brief answer
questions; requiring very short answers from the students, descriptive answer
questions; requiring descriptive answers from the students, and comprehensive
answer questions; requiring comprehensive answers from the students.
Question Pattern of Microeconomics for Business
Talking
about the new question pattern of Microeconomics for Business the mathematical
part is extended and the mathematical questions are included in all three groups. It
means under the new question pattern the mathematical part will cover 35 to 40
percent in the board examination. So the
question will be like;
Group-
A (Brief Answer Questions)
This section includes 10 questions and students will have to answer all the
questions. Each question carries 2 marks and in total this section cover 20
marks. Two mathematical questions will be included in this section.
Group-B
(Descriptive Answer Questions)
This section consists of 6 questions, each carrying 10 marks. Students will have to
answer any five questions in a descriptive pattern of the answer. In this
section, two mathematical questions will be included. This way group- B covers
50 marks.
Group-C (Analytical Answer Questions)
This section includes 3 questions each carrying 15 marks. Students will have to
answer any two questions. The patter of answering such a question is analytical
and comprehensive. This section also includes one mathematical question and
will cover 30 marks in the examination.
In such a way, three sections make 100 marks as 20+50+30. And the mathematical
part will be 4+20+15=39*. Here *means sometimes it may cover less but not less
than 35 marks.
The
Grading or Evaluation System
The
system of evaluation of the learning and performance of students under the BBS The program is an annual examination system. The ending result of students is categorized
as below;
Evaluation Title |
Percentage/Weight (%) |
Third/Pass Division |
35 |
Second Division |
35-55 |
First Division |
60-75 |
First Division with Distinction |
70 and above |
